Our mission at Butchers is to enhance confidence and wellness in our guests in an environment of conscious living, equality and kindness. As ethical hairdressers, we understand great hair and skin with minimal impact to all animals and the planet.

At Butchers, we believe having your hair designed should be more than a quick in and out. We want you to be our guest, enjoy a drink or two on us, and give you a head and neck massage after a long day. Lean back and enjoy the aroma of Aveda oil and natural hair products and leave our salon not only with a new look but also a relaxed mind.

We focus on not only the craft of great hair but the effects of great spirit – which is why we make sure your Butchers experience is a memorable one, with the benefits on your wellness lasting as long as your hair style.

Our principles are at our core: 

• We house a creative playground of conscious living, with everyone who is welcomed into our space to feel pampered, cared for and inspired…with no impact to animals and the planet…yes this really can be done.

• We build spaces out of reclaimed, raw and recycled materials wherever possible.

• We choose partners that have the same ethical principles - Aveda are our only colour product supplier as they are pioneers of sustainability, ethical values and environmental responsibility.

• We always utilise and support local businesses and have built a strong community spirit in East London, the place we both call home.

• We have gender neutral prices. We believe a hair service should not be charged based on your gender you identify us but based on the experience and time our dedicated stylists spend on you.
