Recent recruit Luke Castillo has talent dripping from every pore, and he’s not afraid to use it. You’ll find him summoning his styling skills to create the kind of fashion forward cuts that make us swoon, and as an afro hair specialist, he loves nothing more than conjuring up some cutting and styling magic on anyone with a serious curl.
You want to see his fashion creds? Strap in.
As a fashion styling and photography graduate from London College of Fashion, Luke preaches the power of a striking silhouette. It’s a point of view that he’s made him a favourite with some of the most exciting people the fashion world, and to date, he’s worked as an assistant to acclaimed fashion stylist and fashion editor of Attitude magazine Frank Strachan, as first assistant to red carpet stylist, Alison Elwin, as well as to Bodymap designer, Stevie Stewart.
Today, when he’s not cutting up a storm here at Butchers, he’s racking up the air miles lending his skills to shoots and shows around the world – most recently, on the men’s team at the Aveda Master Jam in Milan, as well as for shoots for British Vogue Japan, China and America. He’s also on Year Five of his involvement with London Fashion Week.
